BRIEF INTRODUCTION

If you know Jamari, then brief is not really brief because of his tendency to be long-winded and verbose.

This is a totally new style of news reporting when a report that was about 80% done is published which I hope will be much more impactful than what AI could do.

There are three segments in this edition of round-up of world news but I have chosen to publish the first two segments first. This is mainly because of so many requests from friends and acquaintances who want to know the REAL STORY behind the Iran-US/Israel war. I’m also concerned that if I do not publish it in this way, then whatever I’ve written will be overtaken by events.

Note that I will be using only one picture. Later when I’m free I will put more pictures.

As for the last segment, I reckon I will finish it in one to two weeks’ time because I plan to put some eschatological perspective.

During my days as a journo, this style will not be looked upon kindly by the bosses in the newsroom. I don’t blame them because then was then, now is now.

But the crux of the matter is since 2021 with my full time retirement, I am no longer a journalist (an ex journo to be precise). I am now a citizen- journalist and as a citizen-journalist, I can write whatever I want without fear or favour … as long as it is based on FACTS gleaned from the news reporting of the mainstream global alternative media, especially the various Telegram news channel.

The interpretation of what they reported mostly lies with me, and I make no apology for that because as with all interpretations (a sort of ijtihad), it could be right or wrong.

Who says I can’t do this when Trump can create FACTS out of thin air … I haven’t come to that position yet for the simple fact that unlike Trump, I’m not a head of state of any sovereign state, I am only the head of state of a family residing in PJ.

But the real reason for this is I have just lost the ability to multi-tasking in a quick way and writing complex stories in a few hours (including the research) because my energy level nowadays is relatively low to accomplish what I could do in my younger days.

IRAN-ISRAEL CEASEFIRE: HOW ISRAEL GETS TO TASTE ITS OWN BRAND OF MEDICINE

Whenever Israel agrees to a ceasefire, it has a modus operandi that is so unethical in ensuring that it works to the advantage of the Zionist regime in order to further weaken its adversary, despite and in spite of a looming ceasefire.

Firstly, Israel makes a distinction between an initial official announcement of a ceasefire brokered by third party/parties and the actual signing of the terms and conditions of the ceasefire.

Between these two periods of time, it intensifies its bombings of civilian infrastructures such as hospitals, residential buildings, ambulances, etc., which are disguised as a shock and awe operations against military targets.

And again, it makes another distinction – the interval between the signing of the ceasefire and the day the ceasefire takes effect – which the IDF will take full advantage with yet another more intense bombing sprees.

Legally it is all right to bomb military targets i.e. military bases, military installations and military infrastructures during the two intervals between announcement and the signing of the ceasefire, and between the signing and the day it takes effect.

But ethically and morally, it shows you that Israel is not serious about a lasting ceasefire. It signs it without any good faith in wanting a lasting peace, and more of a breather to regroup for a more malicious attack on the enemy, despite and in spite of a looming ceasefire.

Worse is to come when even at the last minute when the ceasefire is about to take effect, Israel will even intensify more: it strikes at the enemy with barrages of missiles at anything it can fire, despite and in spite of a looming ceasefire.

This is the so-called moral army of the world as alleged by Satan Yahoo.

And worst is to come after the ceasefire has taken effect: tens of hundreds of violations would be committed by Israel, especially when it knows that both the head of state and the head of government of the enemy that is subject to these barrages of violations, for example Lebanon, actually welcome the Israeli intransigence because it will help to destroy a common enemy (Hezbollah).

This is very well documented in the Gaza and Lebanon ceasefires. In the case of Gaza ceasefire, it is the Palestinian Authority backed not only by Israel but the same cast of corrupt, filthy rich political and military Gulf elites that actually welcome the Israeli intransigence, because of the desire to get rid of a common enemy (Hamas and other Palestinian resistance groups).

All these were done with the blessings and connivance of the US – whether it is the Trump, Biden, Obama, George Bushes or Clinton administrations.

In the words of former CIA Case Officer and Army Intelligence Officer, Philip Garibaldi: “The breaking point when the (US) government ‘went sour’ was with 9/11. Because it justified everything. And it’s still being exploited that way.”

In the current Iran-Israel ceasefire, the first word on “ceasefire” came as early as Iran was in the thick of the action in striking US Central Command (Centcom) HQ in Doha, Qatar.

The Iranian strike began at around 1am Malaysian time on June 24, although it was June 23 around 9pm if you go by the time in Israel, Iran, Qatar since these countries are behind Malaysia by about 4 and half hours (note: all subsequent times quoted below are in Malaysian time).

Immediately after the first salvo on Centcom HQ in Doha, there were so many dramas played out by the media of the Gulf countries especially Saudi’s Al Arabiyah in their updates on the war.

These, among others, include reports on the attacks on US military bases in other Gulf countries such as Bahrain, Kuwait and Iraq, when Iran only attacked the US miliary base in Doha. But Iran was not swayed as it remained focused on attacking Centcom HQ in Doha.

About 41 minutes after the first salvo, an Israeli media outlet, Yedioth Ahronoth, citing Israeli officials, said: “Israel will immediately accept a ceasefire if Iran proposes it because Israel wants to end the war with Iran this week.”

This was the first ever mention of a ceasefire on that fateful night, not by Trump or Netanyahu, but by a Zionist media organisation.

The fact that this unilateral proposal was channeled through a Zionist media organization made Iran very suspicious, but it nevertheless treated it as an unofficial proposal and answered it with: “The time for this has not come yet. When we are ready, you can propose to us.”

Iran also realizes the unilateral proposal of a ceasefire by Israeli media is designed not so much to stop the attacks on Israel, but to halt the attacks on the Doha base because at this juncture there were no credible reports of a simultaneous attack by Iran on Israel by the mainstream alternative media.

These confusions or rather deceptions of the Gulf media were actually a pretext for Israel to bomb Iran while the attacks on Centcom HQ were in progress, as Netanyahu and Trump continued to taunt Iran with their blustering and rantings.

Netanyahu threatened to obliterate Tehran if Iran continues to bomb Israel; while Trump continued his blustering by magnifying 1,000 times the US’ spectacular success in bombing Iranian nuclear sites on June 20.

In his taunting, Netanyahu was actually referring to the 20^th wave of True Promise 3 which had taken place much earlier on a smaller scale before the Iranian strike on Doha, using one to three heavy-caliber missiles.

Although small scale, the damage to Tel Aviv and Haifa were so extensive mainly because there was a malfunction in the Israeli Air Defence (AD), siren and alert system. The response rate of its AD was slightly more than 60% at this time, degraded from 90% the day before, which some say is the result of an Iranian cyber-attack on Israel.

After this earlier attacks and counter attacks between Iran and Israel, there was actually a brief lull followed by sporadic strikes on Tel Aviv and Haifa, sometime using one or two missiles but with strong calibre just prior to the launch of the Doha strike.

These sporadic Iranian strikes were meant to continually test the Israeli AD which has been rendered ineffective due to the earlier and continuous cyber war on Israel.

At one point, there were false alarms on the Israeli AD, warning and alert system where all these systems were activated as if there were drones and missiles attacks on Israel when there were none.

The cock-up in Israeli AD also saw missiles being launched to intercept non-existent Iranian drones and missiles which then attacked and destroyed their own launchers. Moreover, by this time the response rate of its AD had further degraded to below 50%.

This is a signal to Iran that Israel had massively depleted its AD missile interceptors. With this valuable knowledge, Iran then began its Operation Barakat Al Fatah, lobbing missiles on Centcom HQ as mentioned earlier.

Note that some news outlets translated this as “Operation Glad Tidings of Victory”, while some like CBS with its Christian imagery translated it as “Annunciation of Victory”.

Trump could see all these – a catastrophe for Israel, perhaps being advised by his Chief of Staff – but not Netanyahu and his ilk especially his incapable Defence Minister Katz who had earlier promised to turn Tehran into Beirut.

The Israelis were so consumed with revenge of the highest order when they saw how all these smaller attacks had rendered Tel Aviv, Haifa, Bersheeba and all of Israel into desolate wastelands like Gaza.

It is at this point that the Israeli genociders became blind to the reality on the ground. But not Trump who could see all these Iranian attacks as an impending disaster for the Zionists, yet he still placated his Zionist bosses and continued his blustering against Iran because his CIA and military intelligence gave him the following crucial tips:

Although Iran still possesses many missiles, their launchers, however, were so badly destroyed during the initial Israeli attacks on June 13 and the US attack on June 20;
China, a strong ally of Iran, is strongly opposed to the closure of the Hormuz Strait; and
Former Russian President Medvedev’s statement that some countries are willing to give Iran nuclear warheads should the US and Israel retaliate against Iran was just the usual blustering of Medvedev who is well-known for his trademark hardline rhetoric that should not be taken seriously.

And so, while the strikes on the US Centcom HQ in Doha were still on-going, Netanyahu matched his taunt with action when he bombed Tehran with full fury. This is despite Iranian warning of serious consequences and a decisive retaliation.

Fortunately for Iran, its AD was prepared for this, and as a result an F-35 fighter jet, some reports say two, together with two Israeli Hermes-900 drones were downed in Tehran. There were also reports of an Israeli pilot ejecting from the plane.

While on the defensive against the Israeli attack on Tehran, Iran gave the appearance of continuing its offensive against Doha and other US bases, taunting the Americans via the New York Times (NYT) which reported that Iran not only gave advance notice of the Doha attacks to Qatar, but also coordinated the attacks with Qatar to minimize casualties.

Around six hours after the first strike on Doha at about 6am (I had dozed off by then), Trump brazenly declared a ceasefire had been clinched between Iran and Israel when no such thing is happening – that’s how Trump is – he has a penchant for creating facts out of thin air.

Disregarding both Trump’s instruction to halt all attack on Iran especially Tehran, and Iran’s warning not to do so, Netanyahu again matched his taunt with action when he bombed Tehran with full fury 17 minutes before “ceasefire” is to go into effect.

Why did Trump ask Netanyahu to halt all attacks on Iran this time around?

Ans: It was at this juncture that Trump received two new reversals in information: firstly, he was told that China now agreed with the Iranian attempt to close the Hormuz Strait, after earlier receiving information of Chinese strong opposition to the closure which had encouraged the US to bomb Iran nuclear sites in the first place.

The other piece of information in reverse that he obtained was Medvedev’s statement about countries willing to give Iran some nuclear war heads is not a joke which the former president and premier of Russia was well-known for.

As mentioned earlier when the situation became so dire for the US and Israel, Trump issued a statement that Israel and Iran have agreed to a ceasefire to take effect in 6 hours’ time (12 noon), with some additional complicated details, like the ceasefire will last for 12 hours per side, after which the war will be officially declared over. Trump also said the war should be called “The 12 Day War”. He thinks he is writing a novel ala Tom Clancey.

And to both Trump and Netanyahu’s horror, the lull accompanying his announcement of a ceasefire was broken when Iran, not Israel, unloaded its missiles at Tel Aviv, Haifa, Bersheeba 17 minutes before the ceasefire is to take effect, using its most powerful missiles ever built.

The destruction caused by this intense attack of the Iranian is beyond words to describe.

Trump made a desperate plea for Israel not to respond, but seething with rage Satan Yahoo cannot control his anger and unload missiles on Tehran again.

But before he can pull the trigger, there were loud explosions at Camp Taji, and Imam Ali Base in Iraq followed by several other bases in Iraq including Balad Air Base. There were nil casualties in all these attacks. It was not clear who initiated the attacks with drones that targeted radar installations.

It was at this moment that Iran came out with a statement that it has accepted the ceasefire but will have no compunction in breaking it if Israel breaks the ceasefire.

But Netanyahu fired at Tehran as well, driving Trump into an-anti Israeli rage.

More is to come when 12 minutes into the ceasefire, there was sirens in Netanya (what a resemblance with Netanyahu name sake!). Iran at first denied attacking it but later admitted it.

In total only 12 missiles were launched in 6 waves by Iran that were mostly symbolic, with one good lucky hit. In any case, Israel will be absolutely seething even now at being given to taste its very own medicine.

Of course, Israel will always insist on having the last word on this by attacking a single target at Babolsar in Iran despite Trump’s insistence not to do so.

But it was done symbolically as a response to the last missile launched from Iran, without any meaningful damage.

With this last attack by Israel, the ceasefire is as good as being observed by both sides.

Iran then went on to declare a victory with celebrations conducted at a famous Enqaleb Square in Tehran.

And you know Israel has been given the privilege (chosen people must be given privileges mah!) to taste its own brand of medicine by the Iranians when an anonymous tweet summarises the events leading to the ceasefire: “Israel should’ve made it clear that if barrages would be sent in the hours leading to the ceasefire – it would obliterate Iran.”

What transpired actually was that Iran is within the boundary of a ceasefire agreement because all the missiles it fired close to the onset of ceasefire time were triggered just before the ceasefire is to take effect from a long-distance area in Iran but with some that was timed to reach Israel a few minutes after ceasefire time.

There were some Muslim analysts who thought that it wasn’t an Iranian victory, but rather a situation like that in Uhud war – the second major war of the fledgling Muslim ummah led by Prophet Muhammad s.a.w. – a DRAW or a SERI in Malay.

But for many discerning observers like me for instance, it was a DECISIVE win for Iran … just saying … hehe …

TAQIYYAH: THE IRANIAN ART OF DECEPTION

If the Americans and Israelis ever thought they are more media savvy, and hence more adept at launching a hybrid war, Iran has just taught them a painful lesson that it takes two (or rather three) to tango.

Trump’s announcement of a ceasefire could simply be a tactic to push Iran into accepting one or he could have just been lying.

So that’s the reason why there was radio silence from Iran in order to buy time with a response that puts the US and Israel into a frenzy!

Iran’s response could be a maskirovka learnt from the Russian, a term derived from the Russian word for “masking” or “disguise,” encompassing a wide range of techniques used to mislead, conceal, and confuse the enemy.

It’s a comprehensive military doctrine that includes elements like camouflage, concealment, feints, and disinformation.

Iran too has its own brand of “deception” derived from the Shiite Islamic jurisprudence known as taqiyya. In Islam, Taqiyya (also spelt Taqiyyah) refers to the practice of concealing or dissimulating one’s religious beliefs when facing threat or persecution.

It’s primarily associated with Shia Islam, where it is seen as a form of self-preservation and a way to protect the faith (maqasid Syariah) and its followers when their lives or well-being are at risk.

Taqiyya is not about abandoning one’s faith, but rather about protecting it by outwardly conforming to the dominant or threatening group’s beliefs or practices.

It is often invoked when facing a hostile environment or when the open practice of one’s faith could lead to harm or death.

While Taqiyya is more widely practiced and discussed within Shia Islam, some interpretations and applications can be found in Sunni Islam as well.

While some view it as a form of deception, many Islamic scholars, particularly in Shia Islam, emphasize that taqiyya is a permissible exception to the general rule of honesty in Islam, only to be used in situations of dire need and not for personal gain or malicious purposes.

After all, in a soheh (genuine) hadith narrated by Bukhari and Muslim, the Prophet s.a.w said: “War is deception.”

Meanwhile, the Americans do not even have the luxury of counter deception by using the Iranian response to claim that Iran rejects a ceasefire! This statement could enrage Iran into a full all-out attack on other US bases in the Middle East, turning the US deception into a full blown reality.

This explains why Trump went into a blow-up tantrum forgetting even basic decorum as a head of state when he used a four letter word in response to a question from a reporter who wanted an update on the war:

“They (Iran and Israel) have been fighting for so long and so hard that they don’t know what the F**K they are doing …”

Here’s a beautiful instance of Taqiyyah during the war found in the social media: “Iran condemned the Iranian attack on Qatar.”

The attacks on Iraqi airbases by unknown forces is yet another case of Taqiyya in action, and it was the Jerusalem Post (JP) who seems to get the drift.

Iraq’s authorities appear to be trying to downplay an incident that took place overnight between June 23 and 24 when several drones struck radar installations at key bases in Iraq.

The initial reports in Iraq said that drones had hit Camp Taji, a massive military base north of Baghdad. Another drone had struck a base called Imam Ali near Nasiriyah in southern Iraq.

Shafaq News in Iraq reported on June 25 that “on Wednesday, Iraqi authorities arrested activist Abbas al-Ardawi over a social media post alleging that Iraqi radar systems supported Israeli strikes on Iran.

Al-Ardawi, a commentator with over 90,000 followers on X and known for backing pro-Tehran factions, claimed in a now-deleted post that “radar at the Taji base had assisted Israeli operations.”

JP then asked: “Why is Iraq seeking to silence a commentator who is pro-Iranian? Iraqi authorities are generally close to Iran. Did the sensitivities of the recent Israel-Iran clashes between June 13 and June 24 lead Baghdad to crack down? Or did Ardawi say too much?

According to an article in The Long War Journal (LWJ): “Unknown actors, strongly thought to be Iran-backed Shiite militias, launched attacks on US and Iraqi bases throughout Iraq.”

“Sabah al Numan, the military spokesman for Iraq’s prime minister, acknowledged the attacks in a statement released on the prime minister’s official X account, the report said.

“Several small suicide drones targeted multiple Iraqi military sites and bases,” Numan was quoted as saying.

“The assault severely damaged radar systems at Camp Taji, north of Baghdad, and Imam Ali Base in Dhi Qar Province. No human casualties were reported.”

The LWJ report is interesting because it says, “According to Iraqi military sources speaking to Asharq al Awsat, the attack on Camp Taji destroyed a TPS77 long-range air radar. At the Imam Ali Base, the drones struck an AN/TPQ36 mobile, short-range radar.”

Iraqi forces supposedly were able to intercept drone attacks against four other targets. The drones were downed in same manner.

“All of the targeted locations are exclusively military facilities under the control of the Iraqi security forces,” Numan was quoted as saying.

Iraq’s prime minister has reportedly established a committee to investigate the attacks.

The sites that were attacked include the Camp Taji, Imam Ali, and Balad air bases.

The US used to have personnel at those sites, but most Americans redeployed from there in 2020 after a number of attacks by pro-Iranian militias.

The militias are familiar with the bases. However, the use of precision-guided attack drones to hit radar installations indicates not only precision and planning but also a desire to take out radar systems.

Why would the pro-Iranian militias want to get rid of the radar installations?

Is it because they think the data is shared with US Central Command, and they know Israel is now a part of CENTCOM? Or is it because they want to fly drones over Iraq with impunity, and they don’t want Iraq to know?

In the past, the militias have used drones to attack Israel. Kataib Hezbollah, one of the militias, even targeted Jordan in January 2024, killing three American service members. They have also targeted Iraq’s autonomous Kurdistan Region.

The report about Ardawi’s arrest presents a new piece of the puzzle.

“The Defense Ministry, responsible for his arrest, characterized al-Ardawi’s statement as incitement, accusing him of defaming the security establishment and spreading unsupported allegations,” Shafaq News reported.

“It stated that while freedom of expression is legally protected, it does not cover content that incites unrest or circulates baseless claims – particularly during periods of heightened regional tension – and urged media professionals and online users to act responsibly in their public messaging.”

As I was pondering at the back of my mind on why should we be surprised at this takiyya elements employed by Iran in its war against Israel and the US, it was then I realised that Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Khameni has already honestly informed the whole world about this when he said way back before the US hit three Iranian nuclear sites:

“This war is a media war, whoever possess a stronger media presence will be more successful in achieving their goals. It is the media that leaves the most profound impact, it influences hearts.”

Donald Trump may be a master of media manipulation, but he realises this too late.

And when he finally saw the results of Iranian taqiyyah on the media, the painful lessons finally sink in.

All the favourites media of the US neocons, neoliberals and warmongers were given a solid thrashing by him in the most insulting language he can muster for allowing themselves to be deceived by Iran.

I can give more examples of this taqiyya in action during the Israeli/Americans vs Iran war but why insult the losers when they are still licking their wounds.

After this earlier attacks and counter attacks between Iran and Israel, there was actually a brief lull followed by sporadic strikes on Tel Aviv and Haifa, sometime using one or two missiles but with strong calibre just prior to the launch of the Doha strike.

These sporadic Iranian strikes were meant to continually test the Israeli AD which has been rendered ineffective due to the earlier and continuous cyber war on Israel.

At one point, there were false alarms on the Israeli AD, warning and alert system where all these systems were activated as if there were drones and missiles attacks on Israel when there were none.

The cock-up in Israeli AD also saw missiles being launched to intercept non-existent Iranian drones and missiles which then attacked and destroyed their own launchers. Moreover, by this time the response rate of its AD had further degraded to below 50%.

This is a signal to Iran that Israel had massively depleted its AD missile interceptors. With this valuable knowledge, Iran then began its Operation Barakat Al Fatah, lobbing missiles on Centcom HQ as mentioned earlier.

Note that some news outlets translated this as “Operation Glad Tidings of Victory”, while some like CBS with its Christian imagery translated it as “Annunciation of Victory”.

Trump could see all these – a catastrophe for Israel, perhaps being advised by his Chief of Staff – but not Netanyahu and his ilk especially his incapable Defence Minister Katz who had earlier promised to turn Tehran into Beirut.

The Israelis were so consumed with revenge of the highest order when they saw how all these smaller attacks had rendered Tel Aviv, Haifa, Bersheeba and all of Israel into desolate wastelands like Gaza.

Although Iran still possesses many missiles, their launchers, however, were so badly destroyed during the initial Israeli attacks on June 13 and the US attack on June 20;

China, a strong ally of Iran, is strongly opposed to the closure of the Hormuz Strait; and

Former Russian President Medvedev’s statement that some countries are willing to give Iran nuclear warheads should the US and Israel retaliate against Iran was just the usual blustering of Medvedev who is well-known for his trademark hardline rhetoric that should not be taken seriously.

And so, while the strikes on the US Centcom HQ in Doha were still on-going, Netanyahu matched his taunt with action when he bombed Tehran with full fury. This is despite Iranian warning of serious consequences and a decisive retaliation.

Fortunately for Iran, its AD was prepared for this, and as a result an F-35 fighter jet, some reports say two, together with two Israeli Hermes-900 drones were downed in Tehran. There were also reports of an Israeli pilot ejecting from the plane.

Around six hours after the first strike on Doha at about 6am (I had dozed off by then), Trump brazenly declared a ceasefire had been clinched between Iran and Israel when no such thing is happening – that’s how Trump is – he has a penchant for creating facts out of thin air.

Disregarding both Trump’s instruction to halt all attack on Iran especially Tehran, and Iran’s warning not to do so, Netanyahu again matched his taunt with action when he bombed Tehran with full fury 17 minutes before “ceasefire” is to go into effect.

Why did Trump ask Netanyahu to halt all attacks on Iran this time around?

The other piece of information in reverse that he obtained was Medvedev’s statement about countries willing to give Iran some nuclear war heads is not a joke which the former president and premier of Russia was well-known for.

And to both Trump and Netanyahu’s horror, the lull accompanying his announcement of a ceasefire was broken when Iran, not Israel, unloaded its missiles at Tel Aviv, Haifa, Bersheeba 17 minutes before the ceasefire is to take effect, using its most powerful missiles ever built.

The destruction caused by this intense attack of the Iranian is beyond words to describe.

Trump made a desperate plea for Israel not to respond, but seething with rage Satan Yahoo cannot control his anger and unload missiles on Tehran again.

It was at this moment that Iran came out with a statement that it has accepted the ceasefire but will have no compunction in breaking it if Israel breaks the ceasefire.

But Netanyahu fired at Tehran as well, driving Trump into an-anti Israeli rage.

More is to come when 12 minutes into the ceasefire, there was sirens in Netanya (what a resemblance with Netanyahu name sake!). Iran at first denied attacking it but later admitted it.

In total only 12 missiles were launched in 6 waves by Iran that were mostly symbolic, with one good lucky hit. In any case, Israel will be absolutely seething even now at being given to taste its very own medicine.

Of course, Israel will always insist on having the last word on this by attacking a single target at Babolsar in Iran despite Trump’s insistence not to do so.

But it was done symbolically as a response to the last missile launched from Iran, without any meaningful damage.

With this last attack by Israel, the ceasefire is as good as being observed by both sides.

Iran then went on to declare a victory with celebrations conducted at a famous Enqaleb Square in Tehran.

There were some Muslim analysts who thought that it wasn’t an Iranian victory, but rather a situation like that in Uhud war – the second major war of the fledgling Muslim ummah led by Prophet Muhammad s.a.w. – a DRAW or a SERI in Malay.

But for many discerning observers like me for instance, it was a DECISIVE win for Iran … just saying … hehe …

If the Americans and Israelis ever thought they are more media savvy, and hence more adept at launching a hybrid war, Iran has just taught them a painful lesson that it takes two (or rather three) to tango.

Trump’s announcement of a ceasefire could simply be a tactic to push Iran into accepting one or he could have just been lying.

So that’s the reason why there was radio silence from Iran in order to buy time with a response that puts the US and Israel into a frenzy!

Iran’s response could be a maskirovka learnt from the Russian, a term derived from the Russian word for “masking” or “disguise,” encompassing a wide range of techniques used to mislead, conceal, and confuse the enemy.

It’s a comprehensive military doctrine that includes elements like camouflage, concealment, feints, and disinformation.

Iran too has its own brand of “deception” derived from the Shiite Islamic jurisprudence known as taqiyya. In Islam, Taqiyya (also spelt Taqiyyah) refers to the practice of concealing or dissimulating one’s religious beliefs when facing threat or persecution.

It’s primarily associated with Shia Islam, where it is seen as a form of self-preservation and a way to protect the faith (maqasid Syariah) and its followers when their lives or well-being are at risk.

Taqiyya is not about abandoning one’s faith, but rather about protecting it by outwardly conforming to the dominant or threatening group’s beliefs or practices.

It is often invoked when facing a hostile environment or when the open practice of one’s faith could lead to harm or death.

While Taqiyya is more widely practiced and discussed within Shia Islam, some interpretations and applications can be found in Sunni Islam as well.

While some view it as a form of deception, many Islamic scholars, particularly in Shia Islam, emphasize that taqiyya is a permissible exception to the general rule of honesty in Islam, only to be used in situations of dire need and not for personal gain or malicious purposes.

After all, in a soheh (genuine) hadith narrated by Bukhari and Muslim, the Prophet s.a.w said: “War is deception.”

Meanwhile, the Americans do not even have the luxury of counter deception by using the Iranian response to claim that Iran rejects a ceasefire! This statement could enrage Iran into a full all-out attack on other US bases in the Middle East, turning the US deception into a full blown reality.

This explains why Trump went into a blow-up tantrum forgetting even basic decorum as a head of state when he used a four letter word in response to a question from a reporter who wanted an update on the war:

“They (Iran and Israel) have been fighting for so long and so hard that they don’t know what the F**K they are doing …”

Here’s a beautiful instance of Taqiyyah during the war found in the social media: “Iran condemned the Iranian attack on Qatar.”

The attacks on Iraqi airbases by unknown forces is yet another case of Taqiyya in action, and it was the Jerusalem Post (JP) who seems to get the drift.

Iraq’s authorities appear to be trying to downplay an incident that took place overnight between June 23 and 24 when several drones struck radar installations at key bases in Iraq.

The initial reports in Iraq said that drones had hit Camp Taji, a massive military base north of Baghdad. Another drone had struck a base called Imam Ali near Nasiriyah in southern Iraq.

In his taunting, Netanyahu was actually referring to the 20^th wave of True Promise 3 which had taken place much earlier on a smaller scale before the Iranian strike on Doha, using one to three heavy-caliber missiles.
